Homes, offices and inherited houses
Safe opening in Villena, once we know the safe is yours to open
A code that no longer works, a key that has gone, a keypad that stays dark, or a safe whose owner is no longer here to open it: opened properly, once we know it is yours.
Safes we are asked to open
- Electronic home safes with flat batteries or a forgotten code.
- Office safes in shops and units, where the one person who knew the code has left.
- Old key safes in inherited houses, in the town or out in a pedanía.
- Hotel-style safes in rented flats, opened for the owner or the agency.
- Safes that accept the code but will not let the handle turn.
We do not open a safe without proof that you have the right to its contents. It protects you as much as anyone.
The town of the treasure
Villena’s most famous valuables sit behind museum glass. The rest are in safes like yours.
- 59 pieces
Of gold and silver, about 10 kg, from around 1000 BC: the Tesoro de Villena, kept in the José María Soler archaeological museum.
- 190+ firms
On El Rubial alone. In family businesses the safe code often lives in one person’s head, until it does not.
- 15 pedanías
Outside the town, where inherited houses may not have been opened in years, safe included.

Safes in businesses and campo houses
For a safe at a shop or a unit, the other locks on the premises are covered in business premises. For a house in the countryside, see rural properties. We open safes in all the towns on the coverage page, and if you need a new cylinder on the door of the room it stands in, that is changing the cylinder.
Opened after a break-in?
If someone has attacked the safe, report it first and keep the marks as they are. Then see repairs after a burglary. To send the photo of the safe, the contact page shows the WhatsApp number.
When the safe says no
I press the keypad and the screen stays dark. Is the safe broken?
Rarely. Flat batteries are the usual cause, and many safes take power from outside or have an override key behind a cover. A photo of the door of the safe tells us which yours is.
We inherited a house in a pedanía with a safe nobody can open. What do you need?
Proof that you are the heirs or have their permission, such as the deed of inheritance or a written authorisation, and the ID of whoever is present. Then it is opened and given a new code or lock.
The beep says the code is right but the bolts stay shut.
Something is pressing on the bolts, often contents leaning on the door or a door that has dropped. Stop pulling the handle and tell us what it does; forcing it bends the bolts.
Will the safe be any use once you have opened it?
In most cases yes. Methods that leave it working come first, and if drilling is needed, the hole goes where a new lock can be fitted, agreed with you beforehand.
Can you supply and anchor a new safe?
Yes, for a home or an office. Tell us where it will stand and what it has to hold, and we suggest one that can be fixed properly to that wall or floor.
Send us a photo of the safe
The front and the keypad or keyhole. It usually tells us how it will be opened before we set off.
